Türkiye'de evden çalışmaya başladığımız zaman yasal olarak fatura kesebilmemiz gerekti. Onun için 1994'te Ankara'da bir "limited şirket" kurduk. 1995'de Avrupa'ya gittikten sonra şirketi kapattık, 1999'da dönünce bu sefer Lâle adına bir şahıs şirketi kurduk ve ben artık ona çalıştım. Bu Esin Desen'di, 1999'da kapatana kadar on yıl varlığını sürdürdü.
Lâle ilk günden beri bana destek oldu, başarılarımda yanımda olduğu gibi yılgınlığa düştüğüm anları da paylaştı, ben merkezli kişiliğimi fazla mesele yapmadan. Zaman zaman onun için çok zor olmuş olmalı! Ama her zaman, ben bir stüdyoda çalışıp kendisi evde beklediği günlerde bile, bir ekip olduk, her zaman Esin Desen'dik, Esin hanım ve Desen bey.
Takdir ve şükran duygularımı ifade etmek için bu blog'umdan uygun bir yer olamaz.

When
we started to work from home in Turkey, it became necessary to issue
legal invoices. So we created a "limited company" in Ankara in
1994, which we dissolved after we went to Europe in 1995. We created a
new company when we returned in 1999, this time with Lâle as the boss
and myself working for her. That was Esin Desen, it existed for a decade until we dissolved
it in 1999.
Lâle has supported me from day one, sharing not only my moments of hope and elation, but my lapses into despair as well, never dwelling upon how self-centered I can be.
At times it must have seemed too much. But through it all, even when I
worked in a studio and she stayed at home, we remained a team, we were
always, and still are Esin Desen, drawings from inspiration, she the one
whe inspires, and myself the one who obsessively draws.
